Supplies:

Glue Arts:
Glue Glider Pro with 1/4 Perma Tac Cartridge Refill - Pro
Mini Adhesive Squares Adhesive Squares
U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam

Pink Paislee:
Hometown Summer Pattern Papers – Green Acres, Heat Wave, Sunnyside Lane, Fruit Stand, Summer Fun and Neighborhood Pool
Hometown Summer Stamps

Other:
Fiskars: 3-in-1 Corner Squeeze Punch (Dot to Dot); Twinkle, Twinkle and Mint Condition Squeeze Punches; Scallop Paper Edgers

Directions:

1. Create a paper box and lid from Pink Paislee’s Hometown Summer pattern papers using Origami Box instructions that you can find on the web or any paper box template you prefer. I used a 12” square piece of pattern paper for the top and an 11 ¾” square piece of pattern paper for the bottom. Use the Glue Glider Pro with Perma Tac Adhesive and Adhesive Squares (regular and Mini) to secure the folds in place.
2. Cut a square to fit the top of the lid. Use a decorative punch on the corners and adhere it to the top of the box lid. Also cut a strip that will wrap around the lid and 2 circles from pattern paper. Distress the circles as I did, if you like.
3. Use the Glue Glider Pro with Perma Tac to apply adhesive to the back of the paper strip. Wrap this around the top of the box, tucking the ends under and inside the lid. Trim any excess. Then adhere the circles to the top center of the box, again with Perma Tac.
4. On kraft cardstock, use the watermelon stamp and Versamark ink to stamp a pattern. Cut a circle from the stamped cardstock and stamp “hooray!!” as shown and distress the edges.
5. Next, stamp the “note” tab and “summer” banner on pattern paper and cut out with scissors or a craft knife.
6. Adhere the stamped kraft circle to the center of the lid with U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam. Then tuck the “note” and “summer” cut stamped images under the distressed circles.
7. Use a 1” circle punch or scissors to cut out the watermelon images on the pattern paper. Adhere them to the kraft circle with Perma Tac and Adhesive Foam. Cut some of the images in half for variety.

Tip: Double up the Adhesive Foam for extra dimension.

8. With the box complete, create 4” notecards from kraft cardstock. Using the Hometown Summer Stamp Set, stamp the front each card with Versamark ink to create a subtle background. You can keep the cards simple in this way or embellish them further with a simple design like the card shown here with the sun accent made from star punches.
